BLUE PLANET FILM is always working with modern camera technologies, not only under water. With the recently developed "microcopter" the possibilities for aerial shootings are almost unlimited. Equipped with 6 or 8 rotors the copter carries a high class DSLR camera which creates High Definition video sequences. A microcopter allows shoots neither a crane nor a usual helicopter can make. While shooting, it climbs, declines, pans or moves like a helicopter, even inside buildings. Making hardly any noise it gets very close to animals. The viewer has the feeling to be directly amongst the animals, running with antelopes over vast grazing land or flying in a group of fruit bats close to the tree tops - a spectacular new way of discovering the earth!
