Roland Gockel

• Born in Duisburg, Germany
• Studied at the Technical College for Lenses and Photographic Technology, Berlin, Major: Camera Assistance (1986-1988)
• Worked as a freelance cameraman since 1990

After finishing college, Roland Gockel was an underwater film technology intern in Los Angeles for two years. Since then, his nature films have received many national and international prizes all over the world and he has developed special know-how for expeditionary productions. Roland Gockel's clients include among others the TV stations ARD, ZDF and ARTE.
